AI & Automated Calculations Disclosure

1. What we use

The Lifestyle Calculator uses automated calculations and, where applicable, AI-assisted document recognition and categorisation.

When you upload a photograph, screenshot or PDF, the document is sent to an AI document-reading service that extracts transaction lines. Spreadsheets are read in your browser and classified with a combination of local merchant rules and AI.

2. What this means for you

• AI can make mistakes: amounts, dates, merchants and categories may be read or classified incorrectly.
• Every imported transaction must be reviewed by you on the review screen before it is saved.
• Categorisations are suggestions, not decisions. You can change the type, the category and the amount.
• Annual amounts in an imported budget are converted to a monthly equivalent — those conversions are still estimates.
• You remain responsible for confirming that the imported information is correct.
• All calculations depend on the information supplied; projections are estimates.

3. No automated decision-making about you

We do not use automated processing to make a decision about credit, employment, insurance or any other matter that has a legal effect on you. The calculator produces educational information for your own use.

4. Calculation and data accuracy

Calculations are generated using information supplied by you together with mathematical formulas, assumptions, benchmarks, estimates and, where applicable, automated or AI-assisted processing.

Results may be affected by incorrect, incomplete, outdated or incorrectly categorised information. Calculations are estimates and should not be treated as guaranteed outcomes.

Investment returns, property growth, rental growth, inflation, interest rates, tax outcomes, debt repayment periods, retirement projections and financial freedom dates may differ materially from the assumptions used by the calculator.

Independently verify important calculations before relying on them for a financial decision.

5. AI-assisted features

Certain features may use artificial intelligence or automated systems to assist with categorising financial information, analysing what you have entered, generating explanations or presenting financial scenarios.

AI-generated information may contain errors, omissions or inaccuracies and is not professional financial, tax, legal, accounting or investment advice.

Review AI outputs and verify them independently where the information may materially affect a financial decision. We do not guarantee that AI-generated outputs are complete, accurate, current or suitable for your circumstances.

6. Financial documents you upload

• Only upload documents that you are authorised to provide.
• Take reasonable care to avoid including sensitive information that the requested functionality does not need.
• Never upload passwords, PINs, banking login credentials, card PINs, one-time passwords or security-question answers.
• Uploaded information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection requirements.
