AI & Automated Calculations Disclosure

1. What we use

The Lifestyle Calculator uses automated calculations and, where applicable, AI-assisted document recognition and categorisation.

When you upload a photograph, screenshot or PDF, the document is sent to an AI document-reading service that extracts transaction lines. Spreadsheets are read in your browser and classified with a combination of local merchant rules and AI.

2. What this means for you

• AI can make mistakes: amounts, dates, merchants and categories may be read or classified incorrectly.
• Every imported transaction must be reviewed by you on the review screen before it is saved.
• Categorisations are suggestions, not decisions. You can change the type, the category and the amount.
• Multi-month statements are averaged over the period and once-off or unusual items are flagged for your decision — those estimates are still estimates.
• You remain responsible for confirming that the imported information is correct.
• All calculations depend on the information supplied; projections are estimates.

3. No automated decision-making about you

We do not use automated processing to make a decision about credit, employment, insurance or any other matter that has a legal effect on you. The calculator produces educational information for your own use.
